Safe Communities Coalition of Fort Dodge and Webster County Town Hall Meeting Set for Tuesday

Just over a year ago a coalition was formed in Webster County that focuses on keeping our neighborhoods, ourselves and our children safer.

In that time, Jeanette Potter says the Safe Communities Coalition of Fort Dodge and Webster County has been instrumental in organizing neighborhood watches, working in schools and daycares and developing resources for people needing help.

Potter, the coordinator of the coalition, says people have really stepped up.

Potter says on Tuesday a town hall style meeting will be held at the Laramar Ballroom with speakers Fort Dodge Police Chief Dennis Quinn and Webster County Sheriff Luke Fleener who will be having an open discussion with the public about current issues.

That event begins at 6:30 pm and is open to the public.

They have also launched a new website for people who are looking for local resources. That site is www.safecommunitiesfdwc.org.
