Saturday Event in fort Dodge to Raise Money for Campers at Miracle Burn Camp

For the past few years Sam Swanberg who grew up in Fort Dodge has been volunteering her time at Camp Foster in Okoboji and through that time, she has been involved with the campers who come there for the St. Florian Burn Foundation Miracle Burn Camp.

According to Swanberg, that week at camp, those who have survived serious burns get to enjoy camp with people who have not suffered from burn injuries.

“It is the place that they truly can go and be 100% themselves,” Swanberg said.

The goal on Saturday is to raise enough money through a ride, gun auction, live music and supper to purchase a wheelchair accessible side-by-side for the campers who are so close to her heart.

Registration begins at 930 with the ride leaving Amigos at 11.
