Sunday Night Fort Dodge Shooting Victim Has Been Identified

Fort Dodge Police have identified the victim of Sunday night’s shooting on the city’s northwest side as 44 year old Jason Ruffridge.

A release from the Fort Dodge Police Department states that at approximately 8:42 P.M. the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a call of someone being shot in the 200 Blk. 3rd Ave. N.W.

When officers arrived on scene, they located one unresponsive male with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers began life-saving efforts on the male, until medics with the Fort Dodge Fire Department arrived. The male now identified as Ruffridge was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
