The suspect in the shooting of an Algona police officer Wednesday night has been taken into custody.
43 year old Kyle Lou Ricke of Algona was arrested just before midnight.
Prior to his arrest, a  blue alert had been issued as police continued to search for the man they suspect shot an officer in the 1100 block of Minnesota Street. Residents in Algona  were urged to shelter in place as Ricke was considered to be armed and dangerous.
