3 Iowa Central Student Athletes made their initial appearance in court last Friday facing charges of 1st degree theft after Fort dodge police say they stole a vehicle. Aaron Turner Of Ames, Jaylen Hudson of St Louis and Demarcus Blackwell of Salisbury, North Carolina were arrested last Thursday after a GMC Sierra that had been reported stolen was found at 172 Ave M West. The victim in the incident said was at a party with the 3 students last Wednesday. A witness stated they saw 3 to 4 males park the vehicle around 5 AM Thursday. Another witness claims to have found a wallet belonging to the victim and latex gloves in a nearby dumpster after allegeldy seeing one of the males climb inside it. Reports state that 2 of the student athletes told Iowa Central coaches that they took te vehicle but had the owner’s permission and planned to return the vehicle to the owner. When contacted about the story the Iowa Central Athletic Department issued the following statement “The matter at this time is in the hands of the Fort Dodge Police Dept and the Iowa Central Community College staff is in full cooperation with the police department”.
