One person was injured in a shooting Sunday morning in the 900 block of 4th Avenue North here in Fort Dodge. The incident occurred around 3 AM Sunday morning. Lt. Matt Lundberg from the Fort Dodge Police Dept. stated that “multiple shots were fired”. One unidentified victim was injured and transported to Unit Point Health- Trinity Regional Medical Center by private vehicle. Lundberg said last he had heard “the victim was transferred to a Des Moines area hospital but he didn’t believe the injuries were life threatening”. During the shooting 3 vehicles and 2 houses were hit with gunshots. Lundberg said police were unaware of any other injuries from the shooting. The police dept. is asking anyone in the area with security cameras to contact them. The incident remains under investigation and there was no further information available on the incident.
